Product description: These soap flakes by Ecodis - La Droguerie écologique are very suitable for making your own detergent and liquid base soap. With 1 kilo of soap you can make 60 liters of liquid detergent and/or liquid soap.

So also very economical and environmentally friendly. This soap washes very well and with essential oil you give your detergent your own scent. You can also make your own soap blocks with this soap, for example with herbs, essential oil and hydrolates.

An ecological and economical way to do hand and machine wash (up to 150 machine washes). These soap flakes consist entirely of vegetable oils that come from controlled organic farming (coconut and palm oil).

They are made in France and contain no excipients, preservatives or perfume. Because they are naturally hypoallergenic and contain natural glycerine, the soap flakes are particularly suitable for delicate fabrics (silk, lingerie and wool), the laundry of babies and people with allergies.

Good for 130 washes.

Here's a recipe for making detergent yourself consisting of 2.5 liters of detergent for the white laundry and 2.5 liters for the colored laundry

80 grams of grated Marseille soap or soap flakes.
40 grams of soda (for white laundry)
5 liters of water (boiling)
60 drops of essential oil
Boil a liter of water. Add the soap flakes. Stir well. And keep stirring until all the soap is dissolved. Add another four liters of boiling water (this can also be done in a clean bucket if you don't have such a large pan).

Pour half of the soapy water into another pan or bucket and add the soda. Soda has a light bleaching effect and is therefore suitable for white laundry. (Note: old washing machines sometimes still have aluminum parts and those washing machines cannot withstand soda, because it affects the aluminum parts. With a magnet you can easily test whether your drum is made of aluminum or stainless steel, with a stainless steel drum the magnet remains stick and if the drum is made of aluminum it will fall).

Let it cool overnight and then add the essential oil of your choice the next day. 30 drops per 2.5 liters of detergent or if you want a stronger scent then a little more.

Lemon oil enhances the whitening effect and the fat-dissolving effect of the liquid detergent. This is therefore very suitable for the white detergent recipe. I often add a spoonful of organic oxygen bleach (for example from Ecover, available at the reform or organic store) to the white laundry because I feel that it gives just that little bit extra so that your laundry becomes beautifully white and clean.

Eucalyptus oil is very suitable for washing bedding because it helps against dust mites

Lavender essential oil and YlangYlang are wonderfully scented oils for when you want a detergent with a little more fragrance.

If you have very sensitive skin, you can of course also omit the essential oil and make an unscented detergent. Or you can add a few drops of essential oil per wash, so you can use something different every time.

You will see that after 1 night your liquid detergent has turned into a thick gel-like mass. Stir everything well again (possibly with a stick blender, but usually it works fine with a wooden spoon too) so that any lumps disappear and the detergent becomes liquid again and then pour the detergent into empty, well-rinsed (detergent) bottles.

This (unscented detergent) is in principle suitable for all laundry at low and high temperatures. About one wax ball is needed at a time.

Always shake well before use to dissolve any lumps
